Why do we need NVIDIA DLSS technology?

We present you a Work in Progress of the real-time car configurator under development which will use Unreal Engine maximum capacities.
The goal here is to give you an overview of the wide range of options that we can set up in a real-time configurator, depending on demand.
This configurator is optimized for RTX graphics cards.
The problem is that, given the high quality of rendering that we want to present, for certain entry level graphics cards like the RTX 2060 for example, we can observe some instabilities of the frame rate.
And NVIDIA DLSS technology could be the ideal solution to make the experience available to all other types of graphics cards, and also to improve the rendering quality of our real-time configurator in general.


We have developed a configurator with a sober, classy and efficient user interface so that the user can adapt to it directly.

Developed options

External painting color setting.

Whatever the range of colors available in the requesting dealer's color chart, we recreate the material identically, with the exact reflection coefficients and we implement it in the configurator.
As our materials are perfectly optimized for real-time, the number of colors to display is not a problem.
In this demonstration, we created 10 random painting colors.

Rim materials and mesh modification.

We recreate identically the different rims and materials models of the vehicle.
In this example, you find the same rim 6 times, the work being in full development.
But when you choose another rim model in the panel that will be available, the rim mesh and its material will be imported in runtime.

Indoor colors modification.

RayTracing settings.

In order to optimize the configurator's displaying and make the experience as pleasant as possible for all users, it is possible to adapt the RayTracing options to improve performance and increase quality, depending on the graphics card used.
You can indeed modify the parameters of Global Illumination, Reflection, Skytlight/AO, shadows and general graphic quality. We could integrate in this same menu, the configuration options of NVIDIA DLSS.

Additional options

On the left side of the User Interface, another series of options is available to allow you to observe the vehicle and its possibilities in more detail.
The vehicle being fully rigged and configurable, it is possible to observe it better by:
- Spinning the wheels
- Bringing the spoiler in and out
- Opening and closing the doors
- Turning headlights on and off
- Choosing other viewing angles via predefined camera placements
- Turning the engine's car on and off to appreciate the sound
- Turn background music on and off
